A discussion paper for the Safe Places Emergency Accommodation Program Inclusion Round is now open for public consultation.
We are seeking input to help inform the design of the Inclusion Round. The Inclusion Round will provide capital works grants to build, purchase or renovate dwellings to deliver new emergency accommodation for women and children leaving family and domestic violence.
Family and domestic violence (FDV) is one of the leading causes of homelessness for women and children. We are increasing the number of new and appropriate emergency accommodation options for women and children leaving FDV, ensuring those who need it have access to safe, secure and appropriate accommodation.
On 3 November 2022, the Australia Government announced $100 million over 5 years (2022-23 to 2026-27) for the Inclusion Round as part of the recently released National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022-32.
