National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest celebration of volunteering.
In 2026, it takes place from 18 to 24 May.
This year’s theme is Your Year to Volunteer. It recognises the important role volunteers play. It also encourages more people to get involved in volunteering.
We support organisations that involve volunteers. This includes through the Volunteer Grants Program and the Volunteering Management Activity. These programs help organisations attract, train and keep volunteers.
National Volunteer Week is a good time to learn more:
- People can explore ways to volunteer.
- Organisations can find support to engage volunteers.
