Activity details
The Women and Families Safety Partnership Committee (WFSPC) will be co-chaired by the South Australian Government and South Australian Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation Network. This formal partnership will bring together state government representatives and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations who work in the family, domestic and sexual violence (FDSV) sector. The WFSPC will provide strategic advice to government and oversee the implementation of actions that will directly affect Closing the Gap Target 13 and Aboriginal women and children experiencing FDSV.
Implementation progress update
The WFSPC has planned to hold its first meeting on 17 July 2025. The first meeting will focus on setting the scene for Closing the Gap and FDSV in South Australia, reviewing the proposed Terms of Reference and briefly highlighting some of the key issues within the FDSV sector. Meetings will be held bi-monthly thereafter.
