Activity details
The Winha-nga-nha List is a dedicated court process aimed at better engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in child protection cases. A less formal process provides greater opportunity to listen, talk and think about what is important for children.
Implementation progress update
The Winha-nga-nha Care and Protection List commenced at Dubbo Children's Court in September 2023. An interagency Working Party oversees the operation of the list. As of June 2025, 66 families have been supported through the process. Family violence is an aspect in many of these cases.
