The ACT Government will fund a professional education campaign that "violence is not our way" to deliver on Recommendation 5 of The Long Yarn report.
Implementation progress update
The 2025-26 ACT Budget provides $600,000 over 2 years from 2026-27 to develop and implement a community and professional education campaign to be designed and led by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Communicating that 'violence is not our way', the aim is to encourage victims and survivors to seek help and emphasise positive role models for men, women and children.
