Activity details
As part of the national 500 Worker Initiative, the Tasmanian Governement committed to provide funding to Karadi Aboriginal Corporation for one full-time equivalent (FTE) counsellor position to provide family and sexual violence services to Tasmanian Aboriginal people for the period June 2024 to March 2027.
The government also committed to provide funding to Tasmanian Aboriginal Legal Service (TALS) for 2 FTE case manager positions to provide family and sexual violence services to Tasmanian Aboriginal people for the period January 2024 to December 2027.
Implementation progress update
Both Karadi Aboriginal Corporation and TALS have employed their additional workers.
