Activity details
The Office for Women has engaged Portable, a design and research agency, to develop an evaluation report on the 10 Regional Safety Hubs across South Australia that provide a safe local access point for support with family, domestic and sexual violence (FDSV) related matters. This report will assess how the Safety Hubs have been implemented, their local impact and provide recommendations for improving and expanding the program.
Implementation progress update
A Governance Committee will support the evaluation. It will facilitate informed decision making and incorporate service delivery experience and knowledge of client and community needs. The Governance Committee will include Haven Community Partners (HCPs), Department of Human Services staff, members of key Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations who deliver FDSV services, and staff from Safety Hubs. Safety Hub staff will come from regions that have a higher population of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples where programs have been tailored to best meet the needs of First Nations peoples. The evaluation process is expected to be take 3 months. The final report will be shared with the Office for Women in mid-late 2025.
