Activity details
Provide specialist, culturally safe and trauma-informed domestic, family and sexual violence counselling and healing options for women victim-survivors in prison.
Implementation progress update
Relationships Australia NT has been engaged to deliver the counselling program. Extensive consultation has been undertaken with recruitment of specialist counsellors underway. Ninety-three per cent of women prisoners are Aboriginal in the Northern Territory, highlighting the primary cohort of beneficiaries of the program.
