Proportionate funding - setting meaningful ACCO funding targets and implementing funding prioritisation policies for the Aboriginal community-controlled sector

Proportional funding has been embedded in the budget rules through the formal Wellbeing Impact Assessments. Program and policy owners are supported to build their understanding of proportional funding through the delivery of Closing the Gap Wellbeing Impact Assessment and Business Case Webinars and Drop-in sessions.

The ACT Government has also published the Commissioner's Guide: Strengthening our understanding of impacts on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community through each commissioning cycle. The purpose of this guide being to ensure an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander human services lens is applied to each commissioning cycle and the transition of proportional funding investment to the community-controlled sector is considered.
