Activity details

The Western Australian Government is investing funds from the National Partnership Agreement on Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence to support the Priority Reform Areas under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.

Implementation progress update

Through the National Partnership Agreement on Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence, the Western Australian government has funded a number of activities including:

  • The Aboriginal Health Council Western Australia Pilot to support the development of family, domestic and sexual violence practice in the Aboriginal Health Sector.
  • The Community Outreach Program which supports women who are experiencing family and domestic violence in the community with 72% of funding invested in regional Western Australia and 32% invested with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
  • The Innovative Perpetrator Response to deliver a scoping project focussed on engaging Aboriginal men who use violence, in health and family support settings, to provide an earlier intervention focused on behaviour change and wellbeing. The project was delivered by Stopping Family Violence Inc in partnership with Wungening Aboriginal Corporation and Geraldton Aboriginal Medical Service.
  • A Framework for addressing Aboriginal Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence in Community was delivered in January 2025.
