Health training to provide culturally safe care

Canberra Health Services (CHS) is committed to all team members undertaking mandatory training so that they can provide culturally safe care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, their families, and carers. CHS staff complete the Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Patients and Families training and the Cultural Diversity and Inclusion training. CHS delivers a staff diversity workshop that incorporates the principles of trauma informed care and practice.
