Establish a systematic Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Death Review process.
Implementation progress update
Research has been conducted on DFV death review processes across Australia and internationally. Northern Territory models have been drafted and will be consulted on to provide a model to ensure factors leading to DFV related deaths can be used to inform prevention and response efforts. Noting that the vast majority of DFV deaths in the Northern Territory are Aboriginal women.
