Activity details
Domestic and family violence (DFV) safe spaces created and maintained in police establishments across the state for victim-survivors to report domestic and family violence and sexual abuse.
Implementation progress update
Police establishments across all regions have proactively designed and installed DFV safe spaces to support victims to feel comfortable and safe when reporting domestic, family and sexual violence. Some police stations have co-designed these safe spaces with First Nations peoples for cultural safety. For example, the First Nations Divison have co-designed and developed a culturally safe space for victims in Cairns.
