The DFSV Aboriginal Advisory Board provides advice to the Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence on family, domestic and sexual violence as it impacts on Aboriginal people and communities. It was formed in 2023.
Implementation progress update
The Aboriginal Advisory Board continues to regularly meet and provide subject-matter expertise and frontline experience in family, domestic and sexual violence prevention and response work. It provides a focus on the critical and underlying cultural complexity, as well as the intersections of the social drivers which contribute to family, domestic and sexual violence in the Northern Territory.
