Implementation progress update
The ACT Government has funded Sisters in Spirit Aboriginal Corporation (SISAC) from 2023 to 2029 as an ACT Aboriginal Women's Advocacy Organisation.
SISAC is supporting women and children through culturally tailored support, holistic advocacy services, empowerment, representation and community connection. SISAC has also undertaken research and developed a report on the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in the ACT region.
The 2025-26 ACT Budget provides SISAC a further $1.6 million over 3 years from 2026-27 to continue to provide individual and systemic advocacy services.
