Developing an Aboriginal Elders Engagement Framework.
Implementation progress update
Under the first Dhelk Dja 3 Year Action Plan, Aboriginal Community Elders Services (ACES) were engaged to develop an Elders Engagement Framework which aims to address the unique system barriers faced by Aboriginal Elders at risk of or experiencing abuse in a family violence context. It will embed principles of self-determination, holistic healing and cultural safety in its approach. Work is progressing, with the framework expected to be finalised by late 2025.
