Activity details
The Aboriginal Family Safety Grants program supports activities that are aligned with the 4 focus areas of the Western Australian Aboriginal Family Safety Strategy 2022-2032, including the focus area of healing. In 2024 one-off grant funding over a 2 year period was offered through the Aboriginal Family Safety Grants Program for eligible Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations and/or not-for-profit registered Aboriginal businesses to develop Aboriginal and community-led family safety activities in their region. More than $5.5 million was allocated to 12 projects designed and delivered by Aboriginal organisations located across the state including Perth, Peel, Goldfields-Esperance, Great Southern, Wheatbelt, Kimberley, and Pilbara regions. Several projects focus on supports and programs for children and young people including an Aboriginal Youth Drop-in Centre in the Goldfields region. For more information see Grants awarded to support Aboriginal family safety | Western Australian Government.
