The Australian Government Department of Social Services together with state and territory governments, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community leaders, and the National Coalition on Child Safety and Wellbeing, has released 2 Action Plans designed to improve outcomes for children and young people in Australia.

The First Action Plan and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander First Action Plan outline the actions needed to ensure that all children and young people in Australia reach their full potential by growing up in safe and supportive homes, free from harm and neglect.
