NDIS Evaluation Intermediate Report

The NDIS Evaluation Intermediate Report is structured around three themes: supply and demand of support services; choice and control; and social and economic participation.

Evaluation findings are based around two waves of qualitative in-depth interviews with NDIS participants, their families and carers, disability service providers, and representatives from peak disability organisations. The Report also draws on initial findings from the first wave of a longitudinal survey with NDIS participants, their families and carers, disability support providers, and people with disability and their families and carers who were not in NDIS trial sites.

Findings from the Intermediate Report are mostly positive, with the majority of respondents reporting increased access to supports under the NDIS, and overall improvement in choice and control for people with disability participating in the Scheme.

The NDIS Evaluation Consolidated Report is due for completion in the latter half of 2017, and will draw upon the full collection of quantitative survey data and administrative data.
