Living in Australia: Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) fact sheet

The Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey is a nationally representative longitudinal study of Australian households, which commenced in 2001. We fund HILDA. The Melbourne Institute: Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne manages the survey.

The HILDA survey is a household-based panel study. The study regularly surveys all working age members (over 15 years) of selected Australian households over the duration of the study.
