Outcomes Measurement Initiative

The Outcomes Measurement Initiative aims to help build the capacity of the Australian Social Impact Investing (SII) sector to define, measure and communicate their outcomes and social impact. Effective outcomes measurement helps enterprises improve service delivery and demonstrate value to investors. It can also help fund managers to provide assurance to their investors that their funds are making a positive contribution to individuals and the community, creating a market environment that encourages further investment.

Outcome Measurement Initiative Case Studies

A series of case studies, following two organisations, are underway to offer insights on the value of outcome and impact measurement to improve services, scale impact and attract investment. The case studies follow the journeys of:

  • Vanguard Laundry Services a social enterprise delivering commercial laundry services, providing employment and career development support to people with a lived experience of mental illness to help them establish themselves in the workforce and transition to other paid jobs in the community.
  • Global Sisters Pty Ltd a not for profit organisation that works with women experiencing systemic and structural barriers to employment and financial wellbeing, helping bring business ideas to life to achieve financial independence.
