Consent to release information to investors forms

The National Rental Affordability Scheme Act 2008 does not refer to investors. The National Rental Affordability Scheme Regulations 2008 contain two provisions that emphasise that the Commonwealth does not deal directly with investors. Therefore it is not possible for the Department to release information about an NRAS dwelling or the status of a claim related to an NRAS dwelling to the investor who owns that dwelling without explicit written permission from the approved participant to whom the NRAS incentive is allocated.

If an investor wishes to seek information about an NRAS dwelling that they own from the Department, they must use the NRAS consent to release information to investors form to request consent from their approved participant for the Department to liaise directly with the investor. The forms above apply to the 2016-17 NRAS year, the 2015-16 NRAS year, the 2014-15 NRAS year and the 2013-14 NRAS year. This form is available in a printable PDF format and an accessible Word format. The investor and the approved participant must complete both the NRAS consent to release information to investors form (PDF or Word format) and the NRAS Schedule to accompany AP consent form (Excel format or PDF format) and email them to nras@dss.gov.au.

If you are unable to submit your NRAS consent to release information to investors form and accompanying NRAS Schedule to accompany AP consent form via email, please post this documentation to:
