Assessments/Reports

Standardised assessments as required to track progress and plan specific program needs. This includes reports and feedback sessions when requested by a parent for a particular purpose such as school transition.

GROUPS - Pre-School Children (maximum 6 children per group)

- Early Play

Encourage your child to learn through play, find their interests, follow their lead, engage and interact. This group is for children who have not yet had experiences socialising with others in small groups. Children are introduced to following group routines and begin to learn how to interact with their peers. Children who attend this group are usually 2-3 yrs old.

- Let’s Get Ready for School

Prepare your child to start mainstream primary school with communication and play activities to promote emotional skills, independence and learning.

 - Learn and Play

Support your child to prepare for Kindergarten through structured sessions and free play, building social connections and emotional regulation. Children who attend this group are usually 3-4 yrs old.

- Move and Groove

This group is run by a physiotherapist and focuses on the development of gross motor skills, such as climbing, jumping and balance. Activities are practiced through games and moving to music.

GROUPS - Children at School up to the age of 7 yrs.( maximum 6 children per group)

- Busy Fingers (Fine Motor Skills).

Build fine motor skills for school, to sit and attend to learning, develop hand strength, manipulation and co-ordination skills. Run by our occupational therapist team.

- Specialist School Group

Build skills to prepare for school including paying attention, listening, following instructions and managing emotions. Ideal for children who may be attending special school setting.

- Social skills Group - Children who are 5-7 yrs old.

A collaborative play based social skills program designed to improve social competence in children. Children practice giving and following specific instructions, joint problem solving, turn taking and sharing. Each child plays the role of an ‘engineer’, a ‘supplier’ or a ‘builder’ and together they follow pictorial instructions to build a model out of lego. The group roles allow the children to practise social interactions in a safe environment with the support of the facilitator. Sessions include opportunities for more natural play in the freestyle building.

Support your child to transition to school and to build their social, emotional and communications skills. Ideal for children who are possibly attending mainstream school.

Encourage your child to practice and develop independence and social skills in a group based on the “We Thinkers” program.

 - Super Kids

Encouraging children in Prep and Grade 1 to develop their social skills, so they can feel more confident in making friends, playing with others, and following instructions and routines.

Supporting children to get ready for school and participating in the classroom by developing their social, play, listening and fine motor skills.
