Providers of Find and Connect Support Services funded by the Australian Government
The Department of Social Services (DSS) provides funding for the national Find and Connect Support Services which are accessible on the helpline 1800 16 11 09*.

Find and Connect Support Services provide specialist trauma informed counselling, referral services, peer support, education and social support programs. Services also provide assistance to locate and access records and reconnect with family members (where possible) for Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants (sometimes referred to as Care Leavers).
DSS funds 11 organisations across Australia to deliver Find and Connect Services. The Find and Connect services have been funded since 1 March 2015. In 2021, the Australian Government committed an additional $23.4 million over five years from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2026 to ensure the continuation of Find and Connect Support Services. The funded providers include:
- seven state and territory based Find and Connect Support Services and a National Former Child Migrant specific service
- a national Find and Connect web resource for records tracing and access
- three Find and Connect representative organisations to support and present consolidated views and advice to Government and the sector.
