National Disability Strategy 2010-2020 Australian Government Action Plan

The National Disability Strategy 2010-2020 Australian Government Action Plan represents the Australian Government’s commitment to tangible actions that will drive implementation of the National Disability Strategy within Australian Government agencies.

Australian Government agencies are an integral part of the National Disability Strategy, as a primary source of mainstream policymaking and service delivery. Australian Government agencies have identified actions related to disability-specific and mainstream policies and programs that work towards achieving the National Disability Strategy’s vision. The National Disability Strategy 2010-2020 Australian Government Action Plan outlines these policy and program activities, and their associated measures, under each of the National Disability Strategy’s six broad outcome areas:

  1. Inclusive and accessible communities
  2. Rights protection, justice and legislation
  3. Economic security
  4. Personal and community support
  5. Learning and skills
  6. Health and wellbeing.
