Australian Disability Enterprise Self-Assessment Tool
The Department of Social Services has developed a self-assessment tool for the supported employment sector. The tool will help supported employment organisations determine their readiness for the substantial challenges and opportunities presented by the roll-out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The tool examines Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) financial management and governance arrangements, management capability, operating models, human resource arrangements and supported employee productivity.
The self-assessment tool is designed to be completed by boards and management and senior staff. The results of completed tools will be used by DSS to best target funded transition assistance for the sector.
