A new National Disability Strategy - Latest News
The National Disability Strategy sets out how the Australian, state, territory and local governments are working together to make things better for people with disability.
The Position Paper outlines the key features governments are proposing to include in the new National Disability Strategy. These key features take into account what people told governments in the first stage of consultations held in 2019 and aim to make sure the new National Disability Strategy drives improvements for Australians with disability over the coming decade.
We are seeking people’s views on the proposals on the Position Paper. We invite all Australians – especially those living with disability – to have their say by reading the Position Paper and providing a submission or answering the questions in the guided questionnaire.
Your feedback will be an important input to further develop the new National Disability Strategy for release in 2021.
The new strategy will help drive real, practical improvements in the lives of all Australians with disability.
Submissions close on 30 September 2020.
Senator the Hon Anne Ruston
Minister for Families and Social Services
