Applications for the 2021 Graduate Development Program are now open

Applications are now open for the Department of Social Services 2021 Graduate Development Program.

The Graduate Development Program offers a rewarding and challenging career that makes a difference to the lives of Australians.

As part of the program you’ll receive an inclusive, diverse and professional work environment with:

  • 15.4% superannuation
  • 18 days personal leave
  • 4 weeks annual leave
  • a salary of up to $67,781* in your first year.

As a graduate, you will also receive training, mentoring from senior public servants, and if you need to move locations to join the department, we’ll pay for it.

*Assistant Minister Morton signed a Determination on 9 April 2020 under subsection 24(3) of the Public Service 1999 (PS Act) giving effect to a deferral of wage increases. The previously advertised salary range was inclusive of an expected wage increase. This wage increase has been deferred until 21 July 2021.
