Longitudinal Data Conference 2016 - Registrations close 16 October

How important are robust data and analysis to support your evidence base? Are you interested in the key policy questions that should be driving a social research agenda?  If so, you should attend the Longitudinal Data Conference 2016 which is being held in Canberra from 25 – 27 October 2016.

The National Centre for Longitudinal Data (NCLD) which sits within the Department of Social Services is hosting the first comprehensive Australian Longitudinal Data Conference 2016. The NCLD welcomes you to join the already 400+ delegates that have registered to attend.

So far the conference delegate list includes state, territory and Australian Government public servants, policy-makers and influencers, academics, researchers, leaders in data technologies, private businesses and the not-for-profit sector.

The conference is attracting anyone who develops and uses evidence to inform policy, and those with a more technical data and analytics focus.

The conference will showcase how longitudinal data provides a powerful evidence base for policy development and assessment and will include workshops, symposia and expert speakers discussing three central themes:

  • Powerful data - What are industry-leading examples of longitudinal survey design and data collection, data linkage and data analysis?
  • Strong evidence - How is longitudinal data being used in policy relevant research?
  • Informed policy - How can we use longitudinal data to inform future policy that accurately meets our needs as a nation?

The NCLD has secured Australian and international experts in longitudinal data to be keynote speakers and panellists, as well as academics and specialists exploring topics including:
