Footprints in Time wave 7 data release now available

The latest data release for Footprints in Time — the Longitudinal Study of Indigenous Children is now available.  It includes data from the seven waves of data collection from 2008 through to 2014.

For the first time the data release includes linked individual NAPLAN results for the study children, as well as data on Indigenous languages spoken by the study participants (which is available upon request).  This is in addition to the data collected through each survey wave on parents, the study child, teachers and carers.

A number of new topics are addressed in the data release including puberty, after-school activities, cultural awareness at school, high school intentions, kids picking on kids and the relationships between the study child and their parents and friends

Information on how to apply for access to the dataset is available from our Access to DSS Longitudinal Datasets page.

More information on the study is available on the Overview of Footprints in Time page.
