Research and Data
Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety
Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety (ANROWS) was established as a national research body to bring together, for the first time, research on domestic and family violence and sexual assault across the country.
ANROWS's Resource Database provides access to a collection of resources relevant to reducing the incidence and impact of violence against women and their children. The online catalogue includes references from scholarly and practice-based reports, books, journal articles, conference papers and presentations, book chapters, DVDs and kits.
Women, Domestic Violence and Homelessness: A Synthesis Report
The Synthesis Report investigates the support and accommodation needs of women (and children) affected by domestic and family violence. It finds that there is no one solution to domestic and family violence related homelessness. There is also no easy to roll out solution. This is because there is no one pathway into homelessness for all women affected by domestic and family violence and many women cycle in and out of homelessness and crisis accommodation.
Australian Institute of Criminology
The Australian Institute of Criminology conducts research on a wide range of crime-related subjects including domestic violence and sexual assault:
- No Longer Silent;
- Non-Reporting and Hidden Recording of Sexual Assault;
- National Homocide Monitoring Program
- Australian Crime Facts and Figures
