This report presents the findings and recommendations of the Aboriginal Land Commissioner following an inquiry into the Warlmanpa, Warlpiri, Mudbura and Warumungu Land Claim (Application No. 26), a traditional land claim application submitted by the Central Land Council under section 50(1)(a) of the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 on 20 November 1978.

The report was provided to the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and the Administrator of the Northern Territory on 30 September 1981.

The land subject to claim comprised an area of approximately 49,288 square kilometres, described in the land claim application as 'Unalienated Crown Land' and located to the west and north-west of Tennant Creek.

The report notes that the original land claim application was entitled 'Walmanba/Warlpiri claim to an area between Wave Hill Pastoral Lease and Tennant Creek'.
