Stronger Relationships Trial – information for service providers and celebrants

The Australian Government is seeking applications from existing Family and Relationship Service providers or other not-for-profit providers of relationship education or counselling to help us deliver the Stronger Relationships trial.

Stronger Relationships providers will have a vital role in the trial through helping couples improve their communication and conflict resolution skills, strengthen their relationship and cope with changes and challenges.

Successful providers will be placed on the Stronger Relationships Panel, which will be published on the department's website. Couples who have registered to participate in the trial can access the list to select their preferred provider for relationship education or counselling services. Approved providers can claim a $200 reimbursement by supplying the department with their client's subsidy reference number after the services have been provided.

To be listed on the Stronger Relationships Panel, providers must be existing Family and Relationship Services providers under the former Family Support Program, or other not-for-profit providers who already provide education and/or counselling to at least 100 couples per year.

Operational Guidelines for the Stronger Relationships trial have been developed for service providers to work in a nationally-consistent, coordinated and cooperative way. They outline the key elements of service delivery, and seek to clarify policy and process questions that may arise during the implementation and delivery of the Stronger Relationships trial.

You should review these guidelines before applying to be on the Stronger Relationships panel.

Service providers can apply to be on the Stronger Relationships Panel up to 31 March 2015 through the Providers portal.

Applications are now open for service providers to apply online.
