Centacare Catholic Family Services Walking Together $82,000 The project assists families with children from birth to late primary school in the Murray Bridge area.  It provides family support, parent education groups, individual counselling and a volunteer mentor program for children. Hackham West Community Centre Inc Onkaparinga Community Connections $65,600 The project works with the Hackham South and Noarlunga Downs primary schools to assist parents to access support through their local school.  It also actively engages parents in the planning and delivery of capacity building activities, including those that aim to improve economic self reliance.  Activities are held at the primary schools and the community centre. 08 8384 1065
Helping Hand Aged Care Inc SA Grandparents as Parents $97,375 The project provides information and support to grandparents who are full time carers of their pre-school and school age grandchildren in northern and western metropolitan Adelaide.  Activities include service provision, a playgroup, relationship skills and  parenting information, approaches to learning, behaviour management and social networking.  Monthly support groups are held in locations such as Cheltenham and Salisbury East. 08 8241 9060
Kangaroo Island Children's Services Inc Parenting KI - Strengthening Families $67,650 The project supports families with young children living on Kangaroo Island in Kingscote, especially families with single or teenage parents.  It provides training and mentoring programs for families in need of physical, emotional or social support.  It also offers a playgroup, support groups for young and single parents and helps them to develop networks within the community. 08 8553 2436
Kura Yerlo Council Inc Extreme Team $31,980 The project provides support and networking opportunities for Aboriginal and local children, their families and the community to reduce behavioural problems and social isolation on the Lefevre Peninsula.  It conducts an after school drop in program offering activities such as games, cooking, computing and excursions for children, as well as first aid training and parenting programs. 08 8449 7367
Lady Gowrie Child Centre Inc Strengthening Family Relationships, Children's Wellbeing and Community Connections $48,483 The project supports parents and children from vulnerable families in the City of West Torrens to improve parenting skills.  It also supports the development, growth and social competence of young children; establishes social support networks; and improves access to mainstream services. The program provides a number of playgroup activities in Thebarton and parenting workshops in Torrensville, Grange and Adelaide Airport (suburb). 08 8352 5144
Northern Carers Network Inc Grandparents Support Program $33,825 The project assists grandparents to access services, information and support to improve their parenting skills and increase opportunities for their grandchildren in Davoren Park and Salisbury. UnitingCare Wesley Port Pirie Inc Copper Coast Parenting $84,050 The project provides support to vulnerable and disadvantaged families on the Yorke Peninsula.  It conducts programs that strengthen parents' capacity to meet their families' needs, improve family relationships, expand social connections and promote improved educational, social and developmental outcomes for their children. Activities such as parenting info sessions, Dad's nights, workshops and community events are held in various locations including Moonta, Kadina, Corny Point, Marion Bay and Wallaroo.  08 8633 8601
UnitingCare Wesley Port Pirie Inc Parent's Activity Group $65,600 The project enhances the parenting skills of families with young children in rural and isolated communities to enhance the social networks and community connectedness of parents in the Peterborough area.  A free Toy Library service and JET Crèche are provided, and parents plan parenting workshops, child development education, service information, parent activity groups and stay and play sessions. 08 8633 8601
Young Womens Christian Association of Adelaide Inc Community Support Youth Mentoring Program (The Big Brothers, Big Sisters Project) $123,000 The project supports young people and their families in the northern metropolitan region of Adelaide to build better relationships and reduce isolation.  It increases self-confidence and relationship skills through mentoring and role modelling, and provides support to parents to improve family interactions and build a stronger, more self-reliant community. 08 8227 0155
