National Apology to Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants

12 November 2013

On 16 November 2009, a National Apology was delivered to Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants for the wrongs and injustices of the past.  It also ensured that a largely invisible part of Australia’s history was put firmly on the historic record for future generations to see.

Find and Connect – a national network of specialised search and support services – will commemorate the apology anniversary with local events.

To find out more about Find and Connect support services and projects to improve access to family tracing and support services for Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants visit the redesigned Find & Connect web resource.
