Remote community water management

 

'Remote Community Water Management' is an action research project to identify a replicable model and process for sustainable small-scale water supply management in remote Indigenous communities. It is a core research project of the Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre in collaboration with the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Quality and Treatment. Research partners in the project are the Indigenous Housing and Infrastructure Branch, FaCSIA, and the Centre for Appropriate Technology.

The focus of the project is to design and implement a process, based on lessons learnt from five case study communities, that allows small remote/rural Indigenous communities to make informed decisions about how to manage their water supply. The research project has a two-year time
