Launch of the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children

 

On 21 March at Parliament House, the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC) was launched by the Ministers for Family and Community Services and Children and Youth Affairs, Senator Vanstone and Larry Anthony. Minister Vanstone said Australia has lacked comprehensive, longitudinal information about children’s early development. LSAC will provide that evidence in the Australian context on a national scale for the first time. Governments around the world, including in the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom have seen the value of this kind of long-term data collection on children
